Elementor #24

Cloud Cries

Swollen with grief, black in color,

With lightning that flashes like memory

Memories entangled, the deepest mystery of the soul,

Cloud cries, and we call it rain.

Trillions of droplets, with zillion miles of journey

Rain lashes earth,

Like long lost lovers meet, after an eternity

An eternity, like dawn after night.

The earth opens its veils like a newlywed to greet the rain

The union of the souls.

The longing of rain to kiss the earth

A long fall, from goodbye to hello, and a silence in between.

Oh, rain! Why fall?

Why become formless?

Was that the longing for beloved,

whose song ripped the sky?
